Teri Katz brings 25 years of experience and knowledge of physical therapy, ergonomics, education and integrated health to her work with employers, safety professionals, healthcare providers and employees. Teri graduated from Columbia University in 1987 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and is a Certified Ergonomist.

As an employee of Kaiser Permanente and as a consultant for the United States Postal Service and AT&T (formerly SBC Communications), Teri provided employers and employees with ergonomic education and consultations, guidance on injury prevention, and treatment of injured workers.

Ergonomic and injury prevention services provided include workstation assessments for employees and on-site evaluations for a wide range of workplace environments, including general office, industrial, materials management and healthcare. In addition, Teri offers injury prevention classes and exercise programs to improve workplace safety and promote employee health.

Teri also maintains a small private practice in Berkeley integrating conventional and complementary medical modalities including manual physical therapy, Rosen Method, movement and therapeutic massage. After treating a wide spectrum of occupational injuries, she understands what is involved in preventing them.

Teri enjoys teaching and is a faculty member at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where she teaches Holistic Anatomy in the Integrated Yoga Studies Program and Lifelong Learning. She is also on the faculty at Rosen Method: The Berkeley Center, where she is a Senior Training Teacher and directs an educational program for Rosen Method interns. Teri studied Rosen Method with founder Marion Rosen, and has taught Rosen Method internationally.

She also is a musician, mother and long-term practitioner of mindfulness meditation.
