"This work is about transformation – from
the person we think we are to the person we really are. In the end, we can’t
be anyone else."
— Marion Rosen PT, Founder, Rosen
Method Movement and Bodywork

Stress, injuries, chronic emotional and physical pain and breathing difficulties are related to muscle tension. When muscle tension becomes chronic, we respond to life from a place of contraction, without realizing we are doing so. Chronic muscle tension limits movement and self-expression, and keeps feelings from our conscious awareness. We are built to have flexible, vibrant, powerful bodies and minds that allow freedom of action in our lives. Yet many of us experience pain and stiffness that limit how we live. We come to accept such limitations and struggle against them, thinking they are an inevitable part of aging.
Using the miraculous power of human touch, openhearted listening, natural breath and deep relaxation to bring about heightened awareness of the body/mind, Rosen Method helps clients experience a deeper awareness of what it means to be alive. As muscle tension softens and a person’s natural breathing deepens, an expansive state of physical and emotional awareness allows clients to listen inwardly and openly to the wisdom and truth of the body/mind in new ways. New possibilities for living emerge that empower vitality, self-expression and love.
